HAHAHA - WHITE COLLARED SHIRT
AHAHA
Shan - it's what we discussed - in those cheesy films where the boy wears the white collared shirt and the light flashes across their eyes to soften their face.
AHAHAH oh Billy.
So much cheese.

We are the Orange Monkies
Our team won yet again - beating the normal pattern of never winning on Wednesdays. After the victorious game, we went to the Orange Monkey - a really sketchy pool hall - (that's the best kind) to play around and be weird. We did so. Gloriously.
YEAH!
YEAH!

Go me!
I ran 5.5 K today - not non-stop (I needed mini-walks), but considering I'm sore from baseball and haven't run in like 2 weeks, that's not a bad start.
Took 40 mins - if I cut out the walking I should be able to do it in 30 in a week.
Shan - I don't think I'll be ready for Canada day - I was consulting on some running websites, and most of the 10K training guides need minimum 6 weeks for someone of my ability to prepare to do it properly...
Too bad.. bleh.

Baseball!
We tied our game today... I'm glad in a way, because then everyone wins.
Homer Simpson would beg to differ: "You're BOTH losers!!"
But it's honestly the best solution... a comprimise.
We won yesterday's game, and really by a lot. I got home and had received a bulletin from the Buddhist group that was quite fitting:
Anyway - after I read that, I suddenly felt bad for all that gloating, tongue-wagging, and dancing for joy, while using my forefinger to point and laugh at the losers, and singing that annoying "We are the champions" song...
Like THAT's something to feel bad about. :)

Winning gives birth to hostility. It's strange - but I tend to agree. Nobody likes to lose, and winning is a guilty pleasure.
Losing, one lies down in pain.
The calmed lie down with ease,
having set
winning & losing
aside.

Sensory Apparati
The idea that we cannot sense all that truly exists - our senses have only evolved to adapt to useful things - what about all those beautiful things that provide no real advantage? The idea that - we see only what we need to see. We would never know what truly surrounds us. No life forms are aware of what could - and in all likelihood does - exist. Science is based on these, our senses. Therein lies its greatest fault.
