Day in Bed
I am still quite unwell after the treatment offered by the hospital, so I spent much of my day in bed, between sleeping and reading. I managed to finally finish The Surgeon's Mate (I read most of it today), and I must say that it really picked up near the end. What a terrific way to end it though, a happy ending for the poor Dr. Maturin (after all the threats leading up to it). I refuse to give away any more, even though none of you dear friends will likely read it.
Tonight I'm going to eat a stir fry and rice for dinner - finally, some vegetables. I've discovered that it's possible to crave vegetables, especially peppers and snow peas all cooked together.
Unless something better springs up (a good movie on television), I resolve to spend the evening at study. Being in pain a lot of the time makes me want to reward myself almost constantly.
Thanks for visiting me last night, everyone! I appreciated that, especially since I haven't been out of the house very much in the last two weeks. The pain in my ribs is still excrutiating when I cough, and I still cannot bend my torso, but I hope that in time that will heal. I am resting and sleeping a great deal. I believe it to be a sign that I am getting over this.

Just when I thought things were better...
Went for a chest x-ray for severe pain in my lungs and ribs when I breathe.
What I wouldn't give right now for just good old bronchitis coughing.
Am in sort of a sticky situation as the people who did the xray closed their office without sending my results to the doctor - so I have no idea what's wrong with me. and it's urgent.

:-(
Lesson of the day: Crying, with bronchitis, makes you gag, and then you throw up.
I'm getting fed up being sick. Everyone is angry with me all the time - and I get yelled at for not "resting hard enough". I mean, I'll be in trouble if I get pneumonia.
I just want to go back to school, so very badly. Every class I miss makes me think of all the catching up I have to do later, on top of an already busy schedule. Especially classes like philosophy, which means missing two classes in one, and not being able to get the notes (because there are none - I take them from his dialogue).
And I miss everyone.

Gimme back my LUNGS!
Dear body:
I'm not a smoker - in fact, I've never smoked before. I also avoid people when they smoke, because I know it'll hurt my lungs. I don't breathe harmful chemicals, except the time in lab that I got knocked out by choloroform gas (but in all fairness that was your fault for not sensing it...) I take good care of my organs, and my lungs, and exercise them regularly with running and kung fu. Why, lungs, why did you decide to strike on me?
Bronchitis is wearing me out. Everything is so sore, and it really limits what I can do without spreading plague to everyone around me.
It's my mommy's birthday today - we got to eat Chinese food. Yum!
Thanks Meg for the candy, Lost episodes, sorbet and card! Sweet!
Thanks Greg for doting on me and taking in my assignment!
Thanks Shan for being so random and cheering me up!
I'm on codeine right now. Makes me interesting.
Isn't this veird?
